a quick note

Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season! we were quite busy over here with Christmas and family gatherings... in fact, there's still ONE MORE LEFT before we can take down the tree and call it quits over here.  My brother's family were in New Mexico for Christmas and came back the day before my family's dinner - all carrying their bright and shiny NEW COLD viruses!  So, we had to postpone the family dinner so that they could recover and not bring their new viruses to our house.

Anyway, i've been trying to catch up on my slideshows... GASP!!  i know... i know!!

And i wanted to say here and now that my new year's resolution is to be firmer with the linkey machine.  PLEASE ONLY POST A LINK that takes readers DIRECTLY to your tile or contribution to each challenge.  All site addresses that end in a .com will be deleted.  If you need help figuring out how to do this, please see my tutorial here, or pop me an email. (i'm more than willing to help)

Yes, i know that i'm supposed to be gathering images for the slideshows on sunday, but sometimes that doesn't happen, and sometimes i'm weeks behind because of my kids health or my life just getting crazy.  If your link just takes me to your home page, and it's January, but the challenge was in November - i'm not going to have the time to look through your entries and your entry will not be included in the slideshow.

Also - this blog generates a lot of traffic.  PLEASE do NOT post a link unless you are participating.  Posting to get traffic to your own site is not good blog ju-ju...especially since you can get that traffic by playing along.

So.

If you happen to see that you entered your link, and now it's disappeared, it's likely because i have deleted it.  All home sites without extensions are going to be deleted.

ex:
yourblog.blogspot.com - deleted.
yourblog.blogspot.com/2011/02/thisismylink.html? not deleted.

i'm sorry.
:(

i feel like a big meanie, but that's the way it's going to have to be.

  1. I can understand that you will make things as easy for yourself as possible. And.... What if I don't have a blog and want to participate. Can I still send you an email with the photo? Or is this a really stupid question?????? Ellen Gozeling

  4. Laura, would you like some help with the slide shows? Perhaps there is some way I could help you with that. We are all looking forward to the challenge starting up again. It's going to be a wonderful tangling New Year!

  5. You big meanie! LOL. jk. I love this site and I have so much fun with the challenges. I, for one, was a bit inept with the linky-thingy at first but now that I have the hang of it I wholeheartedly agree with you. I am REALLY looking forward to Zentangling in the new year. I'm using the experience of Zentangling as a dissertation topic (well... I hope I am... it's not been approved yet - wish me luck!) Blessings on you and your family. Happy New Year!

  6. Total support here. It's SO easy to copy the link that goes directly to one's contribution, anyone on the internet can do it. (If someone finds themself -that's not a word! - not included a few times perhaps they'll realize they're not doing it right.)
We so appreciate all you do! Making it easier on yourself just makes sense.
    Love XOXO.

  7. Yes, you're not being mean! You're just being sensible and practical. It's amazing and obviously appreciated by many that you do this at all, especially with all you have going on in your life! So, thanks, and I'll bet as someone else said, you're not going to have any complaints. Just lead us in the direction you would have us go, oh Diva Tangle Master. We Tangling Grasshoppers will follow right along. LOL
