This week my two wonderful boys performed in their year end Piano Recitals!!
Chewie played a very beautiful piece called "Haunted Harp" - he's really done well this year. This was his third piano recital - but it was still very exciting for him!

Weekly Challenge #266: "UMT - Crux by Henrike Bratz"
Because today is the first Monday of the month - that means it's time for a Use My Tangle challenge where i feature a tangle created by one of you! If you have a tangle you'd like to have us try you can read the guidelines here.
For me, UMT challenges are great because they give me a reason to try out tangles i might not have a chance to try out. This week's Challenge is called Crux and the step outs can be found here.
This tangle is a bit on the higher focus side of things. In fact, i had to start over because i totally missed a step when i tried the first time. (Don't worry, i'll come back and finish that tile another time).
This tangle uses the Hollibaugh method of drawing behind, and also is built off the tangle bales. There's lots of room for play here, so enjoy it!
here's my tile for this week's challenge!!

I love the bow tie and dinosaur shirt combo! Looking forward to this challenge.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet those boys are. I would love to hear them play! Nice tile too!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos of some wonderful nurturing. I applaud and appreciate you, Laura. It takes some doing to be a continual inspiration to your family - never mind the following you have worldwide! Thank you, Axxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous. Thanks for sharing all good things. Cheryl
ReplyDeleteThose piano days and recitals bring mine all back! I was more like Chewie in my philosophy musically. Those are two great kids! Glad to see all doing well!

ReplyDeleteYour tile is beautiful. Crux is a wonderfull patterns.
Two little cuties! Enjoy your spring!
ReplyDeleteI love to see the pictures of your sons looking so healthy and happy again! Thank you for a nice challenge! Crux is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for another great challenge Laura. As usual, when it comes to grid based tangles, especially ones with a specific set of steps beyond one, I am totally incapable of following instructions. Maybe I'll change, maybe not.
ReplyDeleteYour little boys are also talented in drawing...and they seem to love super Mario :)...Crux is a beautiful pattern, but I agree with the dudz- following instructions and building geometrical patterns is hard for me, but I finished...yeah...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the boys!!! So awesome!
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never, right?!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who remembers when Crux was the UMT before? I did it for Challenge 175 anyway....:-) .
ReplyDeleteyup. it's a double. :)
