Weekly Challenge #277

Get ready: This is an IMAGE HEAVY POST!!

We are back from our trip.  There are literally thousands of photos - and i haven't even stolen the ones my mom and dad took on their cameras yet...

Here's a quick recap our the past 3 weeks for the Harms Crew

July 2 - left Saskatoon at 6:40 am, and drove for many many hours and ended up in Livingston, Montana.

July 3 - drove into Yellowstone Park

From the North Gate

Mammoth Hot Springs

Old Faithful

Captive Audience
Yellowstone was gorgeous.  Both boys were thrilled to be walking on REAL mountains.  It started to rain just as we got to Old Faithful, and the boys wanted to leave - until she blew into the sky.  Then they both cheered and clap, and both of them declared that it was totally worth waiting in the rain for an hour.

Drove out of Yellowstone Park and stayed in Great Falls, Idaho

July 4 - We spent the day driving down through Utah and stayed overnight in Beaver, UT.
The Hotel had a pool.
July 5 - We drove from Beaver, UT to Las Vegas, NV

On our way to Vegas we took about an hour detour off the interstate to visit Vally of Fire state park.  It was amazing.  but it was crazy hot.  We piled the kids out of the van to take a few pictures then jumped back in and kept going.  i feel like this park would be an amazing place to visit in the winter months, but not maybe in the beginning of July.

When we finally made it to Vegas (we were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel) it took forever for the hotel room to be ready.  But we busied ourselves by checking out all the stuff
Artoo loved the "big guitar"

Artoo's favourite band in the whole wide world is Fitz and the Tantrums -
he just about lost his mind when he saw this display
B-rad and i got out to walk the strip while Grandma hung out with the boys in the hotel

July 6 - from Vegas to California

The week we stayed in California was a blur of theme parks.  We did one day at Disney, then a day at the beach, then drove down to San Diego and did Sea World, then Legoland, then a day at Disney California Adventure, and then Disneyland again.  ....here's some pics....
B-rad and Chewie enjoyed the waves

Artoo loved the waves splashing on his toes! He was pumped to be in the OCEAN
Dolphins!

We got SOAKED in the splash zone

Weekly Challenge #277: Running 'round in Circles

I had a good little chuckle when i saw that last week's participants were only about 30.  Yeah, it was kind of a hard one to do - but kudos to all of you who found a way to move while tangling!!

This week's challenge is much simpler.

Create a string out of circles and tangle!! that's it.  You can do overlapping circles, or concentric, or you can fill all your circles with smaller circles.... or something else just as awesome!!

Circles have always been a very relaxing shape for me.  And doing the tangles like ennies or caviar or tipple always soothe me, cuz i love drawing circles.  I am planning to add my tile as soon as i finish, but i didn't want to keep anyone waiting!

So have a great week!!

And if you're on the Zentangle Mosaic App, - i'm @iamthediva - come on by and follow me, and i'm going to be using hashtags on the app for each of my weekly challenges.  So if you're game use the hashtag #DC277 (Diva Challenge #277) for your tile this week!  You can also search in the app for people's contributions to the challenge by clicking on the hashtag from inside the app, or using the search function.

If you have a blog or host your images on line (like on Flickr or Picassa or Pinterest), add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here) Also, please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)

  7. I bought my daughter a printer for Christmas and she is Slowly making her way through the ones she wants to save. She almost lost them all so this way they will have a hard copy. I made CD's of my photos but I never look at them, the grandkids do love to look through my old photo albums.

  11. Oh my goodness! I love Fitz & the Tantrums! I'm a pretty new fan, though. I read about them in a flight magazine during our family vacation, and when I got home in June, I made A Fitz and the Tantrums Pandora station. It's a favorite! *FIST BUMP* to Artoo for his good taste in music!
I love this blog post full of bright, happy photos of your family adventures, Laura! I'm so glad your family got to take in so much and have such a great time.

  19. Ah...Lego Land! We had a blast there when the kids were little. Saturday is Lego Day at the San Francisco Giants baseball park. There is an awesome sculpture of our stating catcher that they did last year. Here is a link to a video of them building it in case the kiddos are interested: http://www.sikids.com/si-kids/2016/01/12/buster-posey-immortalized-lego
