I feel like we've been just getting through day to day around here. We're knee deep in Second Winter right now with temperatures around -32C (about -25F) - which makes it hard to believe that just a few weeks ago we had temperatures around + 12 C (about 53F). Temps like that make me want to hide inside, or go to the mall...

Weekly Challenge #307: "Kitchen Table Tangles with Indy and Mazzy"
If you haven't had a chance to yet, you should totally read this post by Molly on the zentangle blog. (Coincidentally the post was published on my mama's birthday)
at the end of the blog post we are treated to a Kitchen Table Tangles video - starring Molly's kids Indy and Mazzy.
you can watch it here!
It's so fun to watch these two little girls create with such confidence!! Watching Mazzy draw lines made me feel bolder, Take a watch and follow along because this week's challenge is to draw their tangle ZINGO
Here's my tile! I hope you like it Indy and Mazzy! Thanks for being such GREAT teachers!!
So pretty! (I used a green sakura golddust gel pen on my tile) #zingo |
have a great week!
And if you're on the Zentangle Mosaic App or Instagram - i'm @iamthediva - come on by and follow me, and i'm going to be using hashtags on the app for each of my weekly challenges. So if you're game - use the hashtag #DC307(Diva Challenge #307) for your tile this week! You can also search in the app for people's contributions to the challenge by clicking on the hashtag from inside the app, or using the search function.
If you have a blog or host your images on line (like on Flickr or Picassa or Pinterest), add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here) Also, please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)
If you love the challenge as much as i do, please consider leaving a tip (tip jar in the side bar). I write this blog for free and have no plans to make it a paid for service in the future. Buy me a cup of coffee, or a new Micron pen!! Click the tip jar on the side for a monthly tip, but if you just wanna throw a few bucks my way THIS LINK will give you a one time option. A very big thank you to those who have kept me in hot cups of joe. ;)
WOW! And I thought it was miserable here in BC!!! YOU WIN!! Wishing you survive until REAL Spring without anymore sickness! Thank you for this challenge! Indy and Mazzy are too cute! ...just like your little men! :)
ReplyDeleteSoooooo cold, so immens cold. I can hardly imagine that. Keep warm and tanlgle! Your tile is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI don't really know how people can live in such cold places. When it falls below 80 degrees in Arizona, I am freezing, LOL!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun to see these little cuties! Your Zingo shows what great teachers they are!
16 to 24 inches of snow tomorrow. Oh gosh, winter not over yet! LOL
ReplyDeleteAaaarrrggghhh! That cold is way too cold for me too. It actually got up to 80 here today. Ahhhhhh! Finally!!! :-D You will get spring up there in the not too far future. I love that video with Indy and Mazzy. They do such a good job showing us how to do this tangle. And yours turned out very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the little movie of the girls creating Zingo...they are such confident artists and great teachers! Marie...will you please adopt me!
ReplyDeleteHey, Laura. Nice video you got there of Mazzy and Indy. They sounded so professional at it. Looks like they have a career ahead of them. It's good to see your brood doing better these days now. Well, I am linked onto the "linky machine" at number 13...I seem to get that number most times now, and I am superstitious when it comes to the number 13. Have a good week for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI love your tile. It's simple but effective ... and so 3D looking!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet video! I had fun trying their tangle - thank you for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteit is always nice to read something about people with the same interesses on the other side of the world. Thank you Laura, I hope it will be soon a bit warmerin Sascatoon. I like your tile and the lovely pattern Zingo.
ReplyDeleteSO awesome! What an honor to be a part of the challenge. I better get on this one.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for all you do!
The video with Indy and Mazzy is so inspiring. Picasso said: It has taken me a lifetime to learn how to draw as a child.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will take shorter time with the zentanglemethod! Especially as we can get guidance by these two great teachers! I hope I will have time to make it on a tile this week also. Now my first one is in the calendar!
Oh hey Laura, thanks for sending us out to watch Indy and Mazzy drawing Zingo. Kinda gets you in a go crazy with the pen and quit your worrying mood, which I did fer sure.
ReplyDeleteI had to watch the video again and get back to Zingo-mood. Love this challenge!
ReplyDeleteIndy & Mazzy are just the most adorable teachers ever! Wonderful challenge idea! 😍
