Weekly Challenge #350

Good morning everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful week.

So recently i got this amazing potted cup - i need to show you guys.  Look!!
Isn't it beautiful?

so beautiful

I got it from Laura (Great Name!) at Turning True Studios - and if you want to see some great zentangle inspired potted vessels - you should check out her shop on etsy here.  I love using it as a wine cup - it has these great indentations that make it feel great in the hand.  Thank you Laura!!

We are back into the deep freeze again - super cold, which means we are trying to find things inside to do, and again we are all kind of stir crazy.
Chewie drew a Chasm Fiend from The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (We're reading it at bedtime)
Can you believe these sunrises?

Another wintery day activity was newspaper pirate hat day
Dad and Artoo

Artoo was sick for most of the week - but a hightlight was when Artoo watched Star Wars (A New Hope) for the first time ever.  Chewie had been watching Star Wars since he was three, but this was the first time that Artoo seemed interested and he watched the whole thing, and even liked it!  So we are going to be working our way through the rest of the movies together.

the cutest... "Mom, someone's in my bed!"
Weekly Challenge #350: FEBRUARY - Heart Strings: UMT Rimana by Nadine Roller, CZT"

So this Month i've decided to add a bit of a theme to my tiles - all the challenges for February will be done with Heart shaped Strings!

So in addition to the Heart String, it's also a Use My Tangle challenge - which happen on the first Monday of each month.
The first Monday of each month is a Use My Tangle challenge where the tangle we use is brought to us by ONE of YOU!! You don't have to be a CZT to submit, but they do have to follow the guidelines etc found here...
this month's Use My Tangle challenge comes from Nadine Roller, a CZT from Cologne in Germany.  You can read her blog post and see the step outs for this tangle here

Here's my interpretation of her tangle

Here's the video - please feel free to like and comment on the videos and to subscribe to my channel to make sure you get notified when i post a new video!

have a great week everyone!
And if you're on the Zentangle Mosaic App or Instagram - i'm @iamthediva - come on by and follow me, and i'm going to be using hashtags on the app for each of my weekly challenges. So if you're game - use the hashtag #DC350 (Diva Challenge #350) for your tile this week! You can also search in the app for people's contributions to the challenge by clicking on the hashtag from inside the app, or using the search function.
If you have a blog or host your images on line (like on Flickr or Picassa or Pinterest), add the site-specific URL where your tile is posted to the linkey machine below! Don't forget to link back here so that others can join in the fun! (if you don't know how to find this, you can see my half assed tutorial here) Also, please feel free to come back often and visit the links of those people on the linkey machine - don't forget to leave a comment or feedback, everyone loves feedback. ;)
If you love the challenge as much as i do, please consider leaving a tip (tip jar in the side bar). I write this blog for free and have no plans to make it a paid for service in the future. Buy me a cup of coffee, or a new Micron pen!! Click the tip jar on the side for a monthly tip, but if you just wanna throw a few bucks my way THIS LINK will give you a one time option. A very big thank you to those who have kept me in hot cups of joe. ;)

  1. Great challenge! I love your tile! I hope Artoo is feeling better! Have a great week and stay warm!

  2. I also hope Artoo is on the mend and that no one else gets sick. It seems everything "goes around" this winter. I love Canada, but if I lived there (as quite a few USAers wish they did these days), I'd want to have a winter home on a tropical island---Hawaii is nice this time of year. The photo of Artoo and your dog is adorable. It got my day off to a smiling start. We're traveling in South America at the moment, so it's hard to find time to sit down and tangle and post for the challenges, but I will try. I'm writing this in Bogota, Colombia where I studied for a semester---44 years ago! Today we will be meeting up with some members of the Colombian family with whom I lived lo those many years ago.

  3. Thanks Laura, for this challenge. Not an easy one, I think, but I tried and that's what it is all about, isn't it!?

  4. I hope Artoo is feeling better soon! Thank´s for this nice challenge. One more pattern into my toolbox!

  5. wow, Challenge No. 350!!! Congratulation and a big THANK YOU, dear Laura for your lovely challenges. Hope, Artoo feels better.

  6. Yes, indeed--350!!! You are such a gift! I love your beautiful potted cup. Laura (CZT 21--yay!) is an amazing artist, writer and teacher.

tangle me some zen, baby!!
